Clark is an AI fintech company based in New York. Their platform for auditors helps you do more work, more accurately and quickly. But what really stands out about Clark is how its AI learns how you want to do your work. It doesn't force you to do things its way.
They needed a brand film to give prospective clients and investors the feeling of a one-on-one with Clark's founder. What's more, Clark wanted something different from all the fake, over-polished AI films out there. They wanted something real.
Enes, Clark's founder, contacted us about a week before the shoot. He explained what he wanted to communicate with the film. How Ava, their AI, was different and better than the competition. He also spoke about how important Clark's culture and people were.
So we created some guidelines to help focus the vision. We wanted to ensure that the story we told helped Clark stand out with a real human and founder-centric look at the company and its people as they were at that point in time. We believed that this had the potential to ground the project while also becoming a parallel visual story of its own.
Sometimes the best way to tell a story- especially one that leans on authenticity- is to subtract. So we shot this in one day at Clark, with Patrick, DP Eric, and Sound Eric. Handheld, with a tripod for interviews.
What we created feels real, because it is.
Not only the imagery, but also the content: interview questions were not shared in advance. We encouraged raw thoughts over canned responses and bullet points. This took a lot of trust from Clark. And much more effort on our side.
The work is better for it.
The client loves the work and it's being used as an important part of their sales process. It's also a very visible piece of content on their website. What's more, the film is becoming a cultural touchstone for the company-.
You outdid yourselves.
