B2B Brand Film- "we're all busy"

Writer/Director/Producer/VFX Artist - Patrick Ortman
Director of Photography - Eric Richardson

MassMutual asked us to "reintroduce Coverpath to an audience that may not have been open to the platform in the past". So we did. The client loved how we built a heartfelt story that built audience trust. We did it by scripting the video to tell the story in advisors' own words while crafting uniquely "New York" visuals that drove the story forward.

And yes! We loved shooting on the Brooklyn Bridge. Who wouldn't? Even on a cold February day.

It won two silver Telly Awards, and was the highest-scored submission in the Brand Film: Banking & Finance category.

As with all our studio's work, this brand film was directed by Patrick Ortman.

The VFX (visual effects) on this brand film included a large amount of camera tracking, stabilization and matchmove, insertion of 3D graphics and screen replacements, plus a lot of color work to make the big reveal of the Brooklyn Bridge work seamlessly.

What you might not notice: since it was February, the streets were pretty empty. So we populated a few shots with pedestrians we borrowed from other takes of each shot. Froth & Fur does a lot of "invisible" VFX shotwork, and we're very proud of that. Even though the best compliment it'll receive is "I didn't notice it at all".

Patrick had a partnership mentality and a deep understanding of the financial services industry. He was part of the team and worked collaboratively with us in all phases of video production from concepting, to writing the script and interfacing with compliance, to the actual shooting.

What I love most about Patrick and team is that they treat us like a partner, not just a client. They genuinely cared about the success of each video we created and the impact they had on our users and engagement. They had a deep understanding of our brand and positioning, which made it easier to work together and deliver completed videos more quickly.
