In-House Agency Case Study

An in-house agency (IHA) is when a brand has its own internal advertising/creative agency.

The client is a global financial services platform based in San Francisco. Eric, their IHA creative director sat down with a third-party interviewer to talk about working with us.

I am an ad agency veteran working as a Creative Director at an in-house Creative Agency.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire them?

To project manage, direct, client manage, DP and craft our customer success story.

SOLUTION

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

To project manage, direct, client manage, DP and craft our customer success story. Assembly of talent to handle sound, DP, color, edit, and direct.

What was the team composition?

A team assembly of sound, DP, color, edit, and direct.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

an you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I have 10 years of customer video experience. I'm used to a certain level of craft. We pitched to a full-service agency we love to work with but they quoted 40k more. We got a note from our customer saying what a positive overall experience it was. My high bar of look and feel was met. Couldn't be happier with the asset and the process.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Patrick is sunny, bright, and while setting boundaries of feedback and amount of edits per timeline he's flexible to a degree- you're not taking advantage of him.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The client reaction. They couldn't have been happier. Which is the main thing when shooting testimonials.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

I think Patrick has this pretty dialed in, even after being spoiled with huge agency.
